Fabregas wants to stay
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has stated that he wants to remain at Chelsea next season and that he has no intention of leaving the London club.
He said that he would have wanted to have more game time on the pitch, but he recognizes that this is the manager’s decision.
Despite that, he stated that he is happy in London and that he would want to remain at the club next season. This comes after increasing speculation that the player might ask for a transfer next season as he fails to get enough playing time on the pitch.
The Spanish international said that Chelsea are a club on the rise and they are probably one of the best clubs in Europe at the moment. He stated that he wants to continue this adventure under Antonio Conte and feels that he can get enough playing time next season.
Indeed Chelsea will in all likelihood be participating in the Champions League next season, and Chelsea will need a bigger squad to compete in the different competitions. Cesc Fabregas believes that this will be an exciting opportunity for him to gain playing time.
Fabregas has denied rumors that his agent has made contact with other clubs in order to secure a move. He said that these are all fabricated by the media and that he has no intention of leaving the club. He stated that Conte is a fantastic manager and that he always wants his players to improve.
Fabregas said that if you are good enough, you will get into the team irrespective of the other players. He said that at the moment he wants to focus on his football and ensure that he is up to the level that is expected of him by his manager and nothing else.
