FABREGAS TO JOIN OSCAR IN CHINA?
With the much-publicised move of Brazilian playmaker Oscar from top Premier League side Chelsea to the Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, there have been rumours that struggling Cesc Fabregas might exit as well next term.
There is still a strong link to veteran defender John Terry finishing his career in China, particularly with the huge figures involved. There are reports that former Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari, who manages Guangzhou Evergrande, wants the Spain international but it would be hard convincing the player who is keen on working his way back into the national team after losing invitations recently Evergrande is willing to splash £40 million on Fabregas, according to reports. There are reports that Fabregas has been getting action in the Premier League in bid to make him attractive again in the transfer market.
Chelsea remain fixated on landing Roma’s Radja Nainggolan or Antonio Rudiger. This means Fabregas might reunite with former Blues player Mohammed Salah at Roma if Chelsea decide to discard his recent hardwork and offer him to the Serie A side.
Arsenal are even struggling to retain striker Alexis Sanchez with the figures quoted around the world for elite players. Chinese clubs are trying hard to lure the player and with the contracts top players are getting the Chilean has refused to extend his deal to remain at the Emirates. Arsenal offered him £180,000 a week but the former Barcelona player wants £250,000 in weekly wages. It is unlikely that Sanchez will move to China at this level in his career but he might find clubs that are willing to pay his preferred wage range with his display this term.
Arsenal are still struggling with negotiations for German Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. They have more luck with Alex but would have to cough out serious money to retain the two tops stars in the team.
