CESC HAPPY
After joining the Spanish club Barcelona more than 18 months ago, Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he is extremely happy at the Catalan club. Even though he has spoken in the past about his love for Arsenal, the Spaniard has all but ruled out the possibility of returning to Arsenal. Fabregas became one of the best midfielders in the world when he was an Arsenal player. He was transferred to Barcelona in a deal worth around £ 35 million. Fabregas has said that now that he has arrived at Barcelona, he would not like to leave the club ever.
He has stated that he would be extremely happy if his career finished at Barcelona. Fabregas is viewed as the long-term replacement for the veteran Xavi, who is coming to the end of his career. After failing to settle with the team in his first season back at the club, Fabregas has been one of the important players under the management of Tito Vilanova. He has been largely utilised as a second striker in many of the matches. He has managed to repay the faith of Vilanova by scoring six goals in just 20 appearances for the club this season. He has been one of the vital reasons for their domination in the league this season.
“Now I have returned and I want to stay, if I can and if I deserve to, forever. For me, to win the Champions League with Barca would be the best dream I could have as a football player. Our game against AC Milan is the most important of the season and although people say that Milan are not the same as in previous seasons it will still be a great challenge in a difficult stadium,” said the 25-year-old ahead of the Champions League match with AC Milan.
